The Centre is a local charity est in 1983 based in Hull offering members of the public a free, impartial and confidential service. Our advisers explain to people their legal rights, their options and then help them to take action. This can include practical advice, representation and negotiating on behalf of clients with councils, landlords and lenders

We are a Solicitors office and have a Legal Services Commission franchise and contract. We are able to provide a full legal advice service which where necessary, can include full legal representation under the legal help/aid scheme. Irrespective of eligibility, there is no charge for our services to the general public.

The Centre operates throughout the former Humberside region i.e. Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
